Fabulous antique needle case in the shape of a fish! A piece from my personal sewing collection of over 35 years! Great hand-carving on this fish body and head. Great eye and mouth detail! See all photos. Has a wonderful patina and a needle and pin that were in it when I purchased it from an antiques shop many years ago. There is the tiniest flake off one side of the tail fin but is hard to spot. I cannot place the wood used but there is some of the original bark area still intact but smoothed down. Has an old finish on it and the wood grain is fantastic! There is only a tiny little scuff here and there but considering its age and use it is in superb condition! Measures approx. 4 & 1/8" long x 1/2" at the thickest part. No cracks or re-glued areas. Great addition to the sewing or nautical collections!
