Sampler is dated July 26th 1816 worked by Margaret Colmore aged 9. Linen ground with lovely strawberry border around edge. Sampler has 4 different divider lines with alphabet, numbers, verse and motifs - flowers, 4 crowns, 2 flower baskets, center urn with flowers and two side flowers. Colors are black, red, green, gold/tan, cream. There are six holes, 2 are very small, with no stitch loss. Very charming sampler with good bright colors. Measures 11 1/2" by 15". in a black egg and dart frame. There is a paper sticker on the back from "the Boots chemists" picture framing and art department.
