Description

This sampler is dated 1821 and is a linen weave with gold/tan colored thread.  It measures 10 3/4" by 13 1/4".   It has no stitch loss and no holes.  It is in exceptional condition for its age.  There is a little staining at the top right corner of the sampler.  It has five wonderful divider lines and patterns with a border around the piece.  The sampler has upper and lower case alphabets, numbers 1 - 16 and is signed Jane Matterson's work 1821.  I can't say enough about the variety of divider lines in this piece.  It is really very charming.  The frame is almost a gold/tan color and blends with the color of the sampler nicely.  It does have some scuffing and scratches but could be touched up if desired.  If you have a feedback of less than 10 please contadt me before bidding.  Contact me with any questions or if you would like additional pictures.  Sampler will be shipped via UPS or USPS with insurance included in the cost. Payment by Paypal or USPS money order only unless prior arrangements are made.  Thank you for looking
