I believe the wood is Mahogany. The top has "tiger" striping. The finish is excellent, it may have been refinished. There are a few knicks on the legs, but nothing serious. The top has a 3 1/2" fluted skirt around the edge with decorative cuttouts on front & back. The second shelf is approx. 13" x 16". Nice size for displaying a collectible. This table is solid & very sturdy. It would be perfect to use in the hallway, in your home Office, as a bed side table or any room that a pretty table is needed. In overall very good+ Condition.
