This beautiful antique ceramic tile is in very good condition for it's age with only a couple of tiny nicks on edges. It measures approx.6" square and depicts a bouquet of Poppies in the center done in rust, yellow and green; the outer border is in a leaf and scroll pattern in pale yellow on a dark gold like background. There are no markings on this tile to say where it was made except the numbers 45?82, 2383, but it looks very much like examples I have had in the past that were marked Wedgwood. Be sure to see my other auctions for all the tiles from this collection as these make great tea pot trivots or coasters, and are perfect in any shabby chic or romantic cottage decor.
