Introduction: I build new guitars, restore old ones, compose guitars out of old guitar parts and do repairs. I have a special interest for the Tellers, but as you will see I have also other guitars. Over the years I have had many many guitars from different Luther's in my hands, played them, took them a part and study them. I experiment a lot with all sorts of material to get the best sound, which is my reputation and secret at the same time. Seize your opportunity to get a Bruunari, unique instruments for an also unique price. They are also for sale on my website where you can follow and see the building and restoration process. Do not forget to visit my EBAY shop! Not all my guitars are new !! Some of them may look like new and some of them even look ugly !! They are used, vintage and mature !! I have put my craftsmanship in them to the best of my ability. All my instruments have a straight neck and are comfortable to play. I always put new strings on. They all have one thing in common they play and sound great !! Please do contact my earlier customers and/or reed their feed-back!! My philosophy: The quality of the wood used determines the sound of a guitar. High quality wood means a high quality sound. The time required to build a guitar of inferior material equals the time required to build a guitar of excellent material. Despite the fact that an instrument may play great, the sound is incomparable. Why waste valuable time in using ´cheaper´ material if it results in an inadequate instrument? The facts: All guitars, newly build, restored or composed are from European, mostly German, origin. Did Segovia not play his best concerts on a Hauser? Did Martin not learn his skills in Germany? Is the best tone wood not German spruce? For newly build guitars, the wood used is centuries old and carefully dried for 8 or more years. Restored guitars are vintage and their authenticity is maintained. The wood used for composed guitars is about 35 years of age. In short, all the woods used are of high quality. One day offer !! Guitar 221: Bruunari restored German Lute / +/- 1940 Due to the work involved to restore this type of instrument it is impossible to sell them for a low price. To show you what I mean I did ad some pictures. The whole project you can see on my web site. Of coarse you can be lucky to find one for a few box but most of the time you have to let it repaired or restored by a luthier so it is playable, tunable and sounds good. You are quiet well come to ship it to me. It normaly takes some weeks work!! Look at the old catalog. The price was something between 40 and 80 Deusche Reichsmark. A months salary at that time!! This is simple German Lute. Lute parts are combined with guitar parts. The sound if fine and so is the playability. The intonation is not perfect from the 6th position. upwards. The rosette is carved in the top. This instrument has quiet a deep sound. The Lute guitar and gives you the possibility to use your guitar skills to create a different atmosphere. The combination of a spruce flat top and a round maple belly gives this instrument a typical sound between a parlor guitar and a lute. This Lute Guitar is nicely repaired and is like new. I brought the original character back to life, restored the beautiful tuners with solid brass rollers and bone buttons. Look at the lovely rosette. The bridge pins are made of wood. The dots in the fret board are made from mother of pearl. I future I will try to get and restore some more of this instruments. This is an opportunity for somebody who wants to try something different and have a beautiful instrument at the same time. It is a playable instrument which sounds clear. Enough volume and sustain for an instrument like this. Do not miss this fine lute for this very low price. Guitars from other or unknown builders gave sometimes incredible result's course, if you did read the Bruunari philosophy you know that the basis of all the instruments I sell, are the unique materials and that I go for sound!! The materials where many many years part of an instrument. You should read about the old masters like Torres and others using for back and sides whatever wood they could get, even pa pier-marcher. Of course the construction should be good but luck helped also Stradivarius with his salty spruce. Sorry, no returns anymore!!
