COLORFUL 19TH CENTURY FRENCH FIGURAL NEEDLEPOINT PILLOW For your consideration I have an extraordinary 19th century French petitpoint hand-made one-of-a-kind pillow. The petitpoint subject and surrounding area (flowers) are done in petitpoint. The abstract edge is done in needlepoint. The colors are vibrant for a piece this old, they are; lavender, purple, red, gold, blue, green, brown and more on a cream background. The petitpoint/needlepoint measures approx. 14†x 17†and is in excellent condition with no missing stitches or holes. There is vintage French metallic trim around the needlepoint. It is on a seafoam green silk which has been backed with a knit cotton backing. There is a new tri color (green, red and gold) tassel trim around the pillow. The pillow measures 22†x 22â€. There is a zipper at the bottom for your convenience with a feather and down insert for a plush look and feel. The back is done in the same green silk as the front. The entire pillow is lined for extra durability. So not only is the silk backed but the entire pillow is lined. This pillow has been created to last for generations. The pillow is in excellent newly created condition and comes from a smoke free home. Please check out my eBay store for lots more original one-of-a-kind pillows and throws.
