Welcome to Rosey’s Absolutely Gorgeous 1925 Art Deco Embroidered Table Set for You to Complete Description This was such a great find at a recent estate sale! It was originally a five-piece set, according to the information stamped in the margin, but only four remain -- I suppose the other one was completed and cut off from the large linen length. It was made by Bucilla, with a copyright 1925, so it must date from very soon after that. What remains are two long runners about 52 inches by 10½ inches and two shorter ones about 25 inches by 10½ inches. The embroidery on one of the large runners has been completed except for one of the two bouquets of flowers. Stitching on one of the short runners has been started. When finished, the four pieces will have to be cut apart and hemmed. This is a good, quite heavy linen fabric. I had a very hard time getting the color right in the pictures -- it's a definite beige, not an off-white. It might come up lighter when it's washed. There are some storage spots on the fabric, but my experience is that they usually come out with a good (really good, like two days!) soaking. I didn't try to wash it myself, though, for fear of fading the stamped pattern, which is very clear now. There are no holes or tears in the fabric. The colors are wonderful, bright and vivid, and the design is classic Art Deco. This set will be absolutely breath-taking when it's finished. You still have time to complete it before Christmas! My home is pet-free and smoke-free, but all the items I sell are vintage finds from flea markets, thrift shops, estate sales, and attic clear-outs.
