This is a superb pair of Art Nouveau Royal Doulton salt and pepper shakers. The shakers have Royal Doulton backstamp and series numbers impressed to base These are very unusual i believe - certainly the first examples i have come across. The shakers have blue/green/brown marbled ground. There are some small chips/nibbles. One by pepper shaker area and bit nibbling around base. Salt shaker has chip to base and small nibbles near shaker area - see images. Both have original corks present still. The shakers are decorated with fine raised relief stylised Art Nouveau tudric motifs. Condition of both is very good age commensurate. Stands some 3" and 3".5 high respectively. A fine and very collectable pair of Art Nouveau Royal Doulton salt and pepper shakers which will make a superb decorative display.
