It is in very good condition. This STATELY BOOKCASE/CHINA CABINET was made in FRANCE circa 1880. We purchased it in PARIS, FRANCE. The BOOKCASE/CHINA CABINET is made of MAHOGANY. It has a rich, DEEP MAHOGANY PATINA. The design has a distinctly masculine, architectonic influence.  It is sleekly executed with a Domed Cornice that has a Multi-tiered Cathedral Arch Moulding flowing across the center. The Cornice is carved with a striking Roundel Cartouche at the center of the Cathedral Arch. It is framed by gorgeously formed moulding. The Bookcase/China Cabinet has a large, Glazed Door. It is Right Hand Open. The Glass is framed by a delicate Moulding. Drawing the Door open reveals that the Matching Moulding flows around the Door Opening. There are two custom made adjustable Wooden Shelves inside upon which to display your precious collectibles or Fine China. If you prefer to have glass shelves, we can have them made for you. There is a Deep Drawer below which opens to reveal a roomy interior. The Straight Apron below has a lovely secret. A Hidden Drawer is revealed upon close inspection of the piece. This is a secure place to store any valuables best kept hidden from the casual observer. The Sides of the Bookcase are canted back at an elegant angle. The Bracket Feet emulate this angular design statement. They are beautifully moulded and have a beautiful hexagonal design. The Bookcase comes with its original Hardware. This includes the Locks and Skeleton Keys. This French Renaissance Louis Phillip Bookcase would look spectacular in a gentleman's' Library. It is quite masculine and has a truly functional design. It will display your personal library perfectly! FREE SHIPPING TO CONTINENTAL USA!!! Please, read the details in our shipping policy section.
