I am proud to be able to offer this very fine "Vuillaume" model violin, an incredible piece of art! This french violin made by Louis Bichot a Mirecourt. This violin has been made in 1999 in France. The violin is suitable for professional, soloist use. Very well seasoned wood, amazing satin oil finish. This violin is superior in sound quality and finish than Jay Haide "a l'ancienne" model sold at over $2,500.00. The violin is professionaly setup with professional Pirastro Tonica strings and Aubert bridge. This violin is one of the best sounding violins I have had in a long time. I believe both the brand and the violin are genuine and authentic. The violin is in very good condition. There seem to not have been repaired cracks and no damages in need of repair. Vanish and wood are in pristine condition! There have been no repairs to the soundpost area and no repairs to the back, ribs or scroll. This violin has been well played and very well maintained in last years. The wood, workmanship, finish and tone are all of the highest level. The maple is spectacularly holographic on the back with intense irridescent flame and matched with the wood of the ribs and neck. The top is very straight-grained spruce of elegant figure; very tight at the center joint and widening toward the flanks. Every detail is exhibits the steady and confident hand of an experienced and seasoned maker. the scroll is big, bold and beautifully outlined in black in the style of some of the most famous Strad violins. The edges and corners are artistically conceived, cleanly defined and perfectly executed. This violin has a very clean and brilliant tone, with pronounced ringing overtones and a light and airy feel. There is no scratchiness, harchness or shrill edginess to the sound but just a bell-like clarity and singing quality. The G string is remarkably deep and rich while the other strings are have a great pure and well-centered tone. This is a violin that makes any player sound better and in the hands of a very good player provides tremendous flexibility, response and layers of complex color to explore. This is a very good sounding and well-made violin that will delight any player, especially an expert. The pictures below are representative of what you will receive, but the violin is a lot more nice in person! There is a signed label inside as shown on picture and have a total lenght of 23 1/8".
