There is a full page, colored frontispiece.This Book was professionally restored at a book bindery, It has been rehinged & reglued, the gutters reinforced, the spine touched up, it is tight with nothing loose or coming loose, ready to last another 118 years!!!This book is still in very condition after 118 years!! The boards exhibit a bit of rubbing at the corners and bottom edge of covers, the gold and silver gilt stamped into the front cover is in excellent condition, the spine exhibits a bit of shelfwear at the top and bottom, The binding is solid & nothing is loose or coming loose. The endpapers are clean and unmarked, without cracks or cracking, Except for a bookplate on the ffep pastedown, this book has no writing or markings of any kind on the endpapers or anywhere in the book!! The corners are straight and true, the illustrations are all intact and in Excellent condition, the plates are all present and in excellent condition, nothing is loose or coming loose. There are one or two smallish light smudges or stains scattered in the text, otherwise..... This is an excellent copy!!A presentable copy in very good condition.
