Description

Rare Ancient Medieval Solid Gold Ring Beautiful Brilliant Redish Purple Center Stone Stunning and Very Solid Design Circa: 1000 - 1650AD     This is a Very Rare Ancient Medieval era Gold Band Ring with a Beautiful Brilliant Redish Purple Center Stone. Stone is fully intact with no cracks or chips. Stone setting, band, as well as entire ring is very firm, secure and in extraordinarily well preserved condition. Both the bezel and band exhibit a artwork of designs created through the skills and expert craftsmanship of the ancient ringsmith. Ring is in magnificent condition with only expected wear from age.  A ring of this type, in such well preserved magnificent condition, and with such clearly detailed craftsmanship after so many centuries, is extremely difficult to find.    Ring is at least 350+ years old.   Much of the ring has been professionally cleaned to restore, and display it's original brilliance, beauty and detail. If the new owner so desires further polishing, they may use moderate amounts of silver cream and a soft damp cloth, which will further enhance the ring's full gold luster and beauty!     The Ring's band has been chemically tested, and results are 100% gold positive when tested at 10k. Ring's Gold karat is less than 10k (around 6 - 8k), and the ring is gold throughout as described, and not gold plated. In Medieval times they did not have the karat system when creating more solid and durable gold items which were generally a mixture of Gold, Silver and Bronze. This Ring appears to have been constructed from Gold and Silver only, and without Bronze. Without the bronze, the Ring will not have the strong dominant gold tone such as with high karat gold. This Ring has a very vivid gold tone, even without the bronze to enhance the gold appearance. The level of gold tone is more and less dominant depending on lighting conditions. In florescent lighting, the gold tone is very dominant, in incandescent lighting, the gold tone may be less dominant. The displayed pictures were taken under florescent lighting. The winner can also verify gold content by placing a piece of silver next to the Ring. The gold tone level dominates quite vividly, or of course you may have the Ring professionally chemically tested with 10k acid for "low karat value less than 10k". The level of gold tone gives this Ring a very beautiful and uniquely striking, brilliant appearance.    This Ring is 100% Guaranteed to be gold throughout the ring as described, and not gold plated.   Ring is 100% Guaranteed Authentic as described, or a FULL refund will be cheerfully issued.   Weight: 4.8 Grams Material: Gold, Silver mix, 1 Brilliant Redish Purple Center Stone (possibly glass bead - composition unknown) US Ring Size: 7 1/2  Stone Dimensions: 7/16" x 3/8" Rectangular   Ring is in very good condition and a Very Rare Trophy for your finger, or any Ancient Ring Collection.   This ring is Very Solid and in wearable condition.   If you have a feedback of less than 3, you must contact me for authorization prior to bidding, otherwise I reserve the right to cancel the bid.
